(Alex Gamero is the owner of DiscoveringBelize.com and has lost count of how many hotels and resorts in Belize he's visited.) This is one of the first resorts on the island before tourism became a significant industry in Belize. They have a cool tropical theme with thathced roof cabanas and green gardens throughout the property. Most of the rooms are basic cabanas but they do have a few suites that come with kithcens and living rooms. They also have a really nice beach lined by beach chairs. The restaurant is average but you can find some good dishes here and there. The bar is popular and you'll often find peope who are not guests stop by just to have a drink at the bar. The bartenders are very entertaining and will make you have a good time. Also, it's right in San Pedro town so you are within wakling distance from most of the shops, restaurants and bars in town. This is a great resort with a good beach and good location. I recommend this resort for people who want to relax and have a good time. They recently bought a guesthouse called Steve & Becky's which is just behind the property across the street. Bare in mind that the guesthouses are not thatched roof cabanas like Ramon's Vilalge. However, they are cute and have nice gardens.
